The creators and their fans deserve the best and we strive to make the event as accessible as possible for everyone.
We will do this in two ways:

We will have an on site CAD Cares table with a dedicated accessibility coordinator. In addition, all CAD Companions, our faithful volunteers, will be briefed by CAD Cares.

You are encouraged to contact us early, but we will work to assist you on site when you arrive. Please note that while we have inspected accessible rooms, we are not responsible for the guest room portion of the property, only the designated convention spaces. Please contact the Renaissance Dallas Richardson hotel for guest room accommodations.

What else will we offer?
Quiet Room
A dedicated quiet room with fidgets, coloring pages, etc to help you escape the busyness. Floor time is acceptable and sometimes encouraged. See the convention floor map for its location.
earplugs
Earplugs available in the quiet room and at the CAD Cares desk.
CAD Cares Badge Ribbons
Includes pronouns, boundaries, etc.
water & seating
Complimentary water and additional seating in prefunction areas
We do not require pre-registration for support services. You can simply come to our CAD Cares desk. However, guests requesting accessibility services are encouraged to fill out this request form or email us directly at cadcares@creatorsafterdark.com to help us plan.
All volunteers and staff (with our black or red convention shirts and appropriate badges) will be trained to assist with basic accommodations, but look for the team members with the bright green CAD Cares logo that are specifically trained and prepared to assist you.
Any data collected by CAD Cares will be handled confidentially following HIPAA guidelines and will be destroyed/deleted after the conclusion of this year’s event.
Additional Policies
- Please arrive early to panels and main stage events. Accessible seating will only be held until the doors open and seating begins.
- If you are requesting accessibility services, it is requested that you share your tentative schedule with the CAD Cares team so we may plan for support.
- CAD Cares does not provide mobility devices including wheelchairs and crutches.
- We do not require medical documentation of disabilities, except when permissible by law, but may request voluntary disclosure about the nature of a disability to provide better service.
- Creators After Dark reserves the right, as allowed by the Americans with Disabilities Act, to inquire 1) if a service animal is required because of disability; and 2) what work or task the animal has been trained to perform.
We will do our best to make your time at Creators After Dark as comfortable and as accessible as possible. Please do not abuse the system. Any fraudulently obtained services will result in immediate expulsion of the individual/s from the premises and a ban from future Creators After Dark events and online spaces.
